A celebration of Near Eastern & World Fusion Music, Dance, shopping, food, and fun to benefit the Ventura Women's Shelter, SGI Culture of Peace exhibit, and celebrate the vibrant, evolving art of Near Eastern Music & Dance.
Live music and open floor dancing with 3 fantastic bands: Byzantium, Equinox, and Sol y Luna (TBC).
Continuous dance entertainment featuring
Traditional Near Eastern & North African Dance, American Tribal Style Bellydance, Modern Fusion bellydance, and classic cabaret belly dance.
Shopping and food.
Clothing Drive for Ventura Women's Shelter & Help of Ojai.
Please bring donations of clean clothes and toys in good condition for the Ventura Women's Shelter & Help of Ojai.
This festival is dedicated to promoting artistic excellence in the field of Near Eastern Music & Dance as well as supporting local organizations which help families in crisis (Ventura Women's Shelter and Help of Ojai) or promote world peace (SGI Creating a Culture of Peace).
The Ojai Bellydance Festival will draw bellydancers, musicians and aficionados from all over southern and central California as well as guest performers from the SF Bay area. Performances range from student recitals to professional shows by the area's most popular dancers. The festival is open to the general public.
